Beautiful, varied coastline
In addition to the rich culture and beautiful nature, there is another reason why Andalusia is so popular as a holiday destination; the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol. Casa la Calera is just under an hour's drive from the coast. With a coastline of over 300 km, a beautiful golden beach is always close by. From popular large and wide sandy beaches to cozy, sheltered bays. Spend a day relaxing on a lounger under a thatched beach umbrella and enjoy the grilled sardines at one of the many restaurants on the beach, called ‘chiringuitos’. The clear water of the Mediterranean Sea has a pleasant temperature to cool you down during the warm sun-drenched days. Along the coast there are many small and larger places that are well worth a visit.
MÁLAGA | 55 MINUTES FROM THE VILLA
Besides the fact that Málaga is a great city, it also has many beautiful beaches where you can enjoy the sun and the sea. Playa de la Malagueta is the most popular city beach in Málaga and is within walking distance of the city center. In addition to the lovely warm sand, the beach also has small lawns with large palm trees, where you can enjoy natural shade at the warmest moments of the day. The various smaller beaches and bays of the fishing districts Pedregalejo and El Palo, with their cozy boulevard with nice restaurants and bars, are definitely recommended.
MARBELLA | 1 HOUR AND 5 MINUTES FROM THE VILLA
A sophisticated international seaside resort where the (inter)national jet set traditionally celebrates holidays. Especially the beautiful beaches and the marina of Puerto Banus are popular places where you can marvel at celebrities, luxury yachts and expensive cars.
In addition to the marina, the old town center with its lovely white houses, narrow streets, pleasant squares with terraces and luxury shops, is also worth a visit.
LA CALA DE MIJAS | 60 MINUTES FROM THE VILLA
Originally a fishing village and now a coastal town with a pleasant atmosphere and appearance. It is quiet and not as busy as the larger towns along the coast, but it does have good facilities and a beautiful sandy beach. From La Cala de Mijas to Calahonda a natural promenade of approximately 6 km runs along the coast. A walk takes you along a beautiful coastline that is interspersed with beautiful beaches, landscapes, various coastal towns and views over the vast sea.
BENALMÁDENA | 55 MINUTES FROM THE VILLA
A popular coastal town with good facilities and with 9 kilometers of sandy beaches. Be surprised by Playa Las Viborillas. CADÍZ | 2 HOURS FROM THE VILLA
This beautiful old coastal port city is located on the Costa de la Luz on a peninsula and is one of the oldest cities in Europe. It is also called "Little Havana" because of the similarity with the city of Havana in Cuba. You can feel the history walking through the old streets. The city center is a jumble of small streets, beautiful squares and numerous terraces where you can enjoy Spanish cuisine. Beautiful expansive sandy beaches surround this special city, which lies on the Atlantic Ocean and is an ideal destination for a day trip
