Casa La Calera highly values your privacy and will treat all personal data provided or known to us as confidential. Casa La Calera takes all reasonable precautions to protect personal information obtained from or about guests as much as possible against theft, loss and unauthorized use. Casa La Calera is not responsible for the execution of agreed transactions and the manner in which such websites or providers handle privacy. For all purposes, the relationships between Casa La Calera and users of its services are subject to the Spanish law and jurisdiction of the Court of Malaga, to which the parties have expressly committed themselves and who are competent to settle all disputes that arise.

Through the website www.casalacalera.com we process privacy sensitive and personal data. In this process we adhere to the requirements specified by privacy legislation including:

  • clearly specifying for which purposes we process data. This Privacy Policy explains this;
  • restricting the collection of personal information and limiting it to the personal data needed for legitimate purposes;

    Use of personal data.

    • When using the website and services of Casa La Calera, you provide specific (personal) data. We only store and use the personal data that is provided directly by you or is provided to us for processing purposes. This personal information will not be used for any other purpose, unless you have provided your prior approval or in case we are entitled/requested by law. When using the website and making a reservation (request), you provide your personal information. We use this data and process the following data:
  • first name and surname;
  • address data;
  • sex;
  • e-mail address;
  • phone number;
  • passport number/identity card number
  • date and place of birth.

    Upon arrival we will make a scan/copy of your passport/identity card and also the passports/identity cards of your fellow guests. In accordance with the legal obligation, this copy will be stored by us for 1 year as requested by the Guardia Civil. The aforementioned data is used for the following purposes:

  • handling reservation requests, bookings and payments;
  • sending a newsletter;
  • answering questions/e-mail messages;
  • creating an invoice.

    Retention period

    • The data is stored for as long as it is necessary to deliver our service(s) to you and/or if this is legally necessary for legal organizations such as tax authorities.

    Newsletter

    We can contact you through email and in case you have provided your prior consent, send you a newsletter. This form of communication will include an unsubscribe option.

    Distribution to third parties

    The information you provide will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the agreement and to process your reservation (request)/booking. We will not provide the information you provided to other parties if you have not given your consent, unless this is necessary in the context of the implementation of the agreement that you conclude with us or if this is legally required or permitted.

    In this context, we are obliged to provide the Guardia Civil with the following information for each guest: first name, last name, date of birth, identification number, type of identification, date of issue and validity. A copy of this statement, together with the scan of your proof of identity, will be kept available by us for the Guardia Civil for 1 year in accordance with the legal obligation.
